Teropongpost, Tangsel, –Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik (FISIP) Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta (UMJ), kembali menggelar International Conference on Social Science (ICSS). Yang akan digelar selama 2 hari, Selasa-Rabu, 5-6 November 2019. ICCS ini merupakan event kedua bertaraf internasional yang digelar oleh FISIP UMJ. Yang dimana sebelumnya Program Studi Kesejahteraan Sosial (Kesos) telah mengadakan International Conference on Social Work (ICSW) in Health and Mental Health.
Kegiatan Conference on Social Schience (ICSS) in Governance, Human Relationship, and Sustainable Development ini diinisiasi oleh Program Studi Ilmu Politik. Dan akan menghadirkan guru besar Prof. Siti Zuhro, PhD Peneliti senior Pusat Penelitian Politik-LIPI Indonesia, dan Prof. Datuk Dr. Yahaya Ibrahim, Proffesor Universiti Sultan Zaenal Abidin, Kuala Trengganu, Malaysia (UNISZA).
Serta turut mengundang pula Prof. Dr. Syaiful Bakhri, S.H., M.H. Rektor Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Mahmud Erol Kılıç Dubes Turki untuk Indonesia, Bambang Soesatyo, S.E., M.B.A Ketua Majelis Permusyawaratan Rakyat Republik Indonesia.
Mengenai ICSS ini pun Prof. Dr. Syaiful Bakhri, S.H., M.H. selaku Rektor Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta menjelaskan bahwa, memang Tata Pemerintahan yang baik telah lama menjadi topik diskusi di Indonesia dalam arena Internasional, dan khususnya dibidang pembangunan berkelanjutan.
“Tata kelola yang baik sangat penting untuk proses pembangunan, banyak argumen bahwa tata kelola harus memainkan peran yang lebih kuat dalam agenda Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Melalui acara ini diharapkan akan ada ide-ide alternatif dan meningkatkan peluang untuk berkolaborasi erat serta aliansi strategis, terutama dalam penelitian ilmiah tentang konsep reformasi Pemerintahan menuju Pembangunan Berkelanjutan.” Jelasnya
Sementara itu, Dr. Ma’mun Murod, MSI. selaku Dekan FISIP UMJ mengatakan bahwa, beliau sangat antusias dalam menyambut event internasional yang kedua ini. Karena tujuan diadakan event ini adalah melihat lebih dekat tentang bagaimana perkembangan Negara-negara di dunia, yang seharusnya membawa kesejahteraan untuk rakyat secara berkelanjutan.
“Kami berharap acara ini menjadi strategi dan tempat bagi akademisi serta praktisi untuk terhubung dengan akademisi dan bidang studi lain, sehingga mereka bisa menjalin kerjasama dalam interdisipliner studi. Dikarenakan banyak hal yang akan dibahas, maka dari itu hasil dari acara ini dapat dijadikan bahan penelitian dan rekomendasi bagi pembuat kebijakan serta praktisi untuk pertimbangan dalam mengambil kebijakan. Terimakasih kepada semua pihak yang berpartisipasi dalam ICSS ini.” Ungkapnya
Begitu pula dengan Debbie Affianty, S.IP, M.Si selaku Ketua Panitia ICSS serta Dosen Program Studi Ilmu Politik UMJ mengatakan bahwa, ini merupakan suatu kehormatan dapat menyelenggarakan event ini.
