Benda kecil yang memiliki banyak manfaat dan perannya yang penting ini sudah banyak menunjang kegiatan kita sehari-hari, bahkan tidak bisa ditinggalkan begitu saja. Karena semua hal dapat dilakukan melalui Smartphone ini, seperti mengirim pesan, telfon, dan juga membayar apapun jika kita lupa membawa dompet (Cashless). Canggih bukan?
Begitu pula dengan media sosial, selain kegunaannya yang berdampak positif seperti alat komunikasi dan informasi, media sosial ini juga dapat berdampak negatif. Di zaman sekarang ini, mulai dari anak-anak hingga orang dewasa pasti mengenal dan menggunakan media sosial. Namun, keberadaan media sosial kadang disalahgunakan oleh beberapa pihak yang tidak bertanggungjawab. Contohnya tindakan Cyber bullying. Cyber bullying merupakan suatu bentuk kejahatan yang dilakukan oleh seseorang menggunakan teknologi komunikasi, melalui media sosial terhadap orang lain dengan tujuan tertentu. Cyber bullying pada umumnya dilakukan melalui Facebook, Twitter, dan Instagram.
Pelaku dari cyber bullying itu sendiri kebanyakan adalah para remaja. Mereka melakukan hal tersebut dikarenakan oleh banyak faktor yang mempengaruhinya, seperti dendam, sakit hati, iri, cemburu, marah, agar terlihat hebat, serta dilakukan secara sengaja dan berulang. Dampak dari cyber bullying pun cukup besar dan beragam, bahkan sampai ada yang bunuh diri dikarenakan tidak kuat menghadapi cyber bullying tersebut. Maka dari itu, kita sebagai smart people seharusnya dapat lebih bijak dalam menggunakan smartphone dan media sosial, sehingga tidak ada lagi nyawa yang melayang dengan sia-sia. (RED)
