Purnama Wijaya selaku Kepala Dinas Perhubungan Kota Tangsel dalam acara peresmian Terminal tersebut pun mengatakan bahwa, Terminal ini adalah bentuk realisasi atas amanat UU No. 22 Tahun 2009 tentang Lalulintas dan Angkutan umum. Sehingga dapat memenuhi kebutuhan mobilisasi Masyarakat Tangsel.
“Ada beberapa tipe Angkutan yang dapat diakses masyarakat di Terminal ini. Seperti rute dalam kota BSD ke Jombang, maupun rute antar kota BSD ke Parung misalnya.” Ujarnya
Terminal inipun melayani perjalanan antar Provinsi, seperti Intermak BSD menuju Bandara Soekarno-Hatta.
Sementara itu Walikota Tangsel Airin Rachmi Diany setelah meresmikan Terminal tersebut mengatakan bahwa, keberadaan Terminal ini dapat membantu masyarakat dalam hal mobilisasi antar Daerah. Apalagi jika pelayanannya akan diberikan dengan sedemikian rupa.
Beliaupun juga menjelaskan jika dari awal yang menjadi fokus pembangunannya selain di bidang Pendidikan dan Kesehatan adalah Transportasi (angkutan umum). Maka dari itu dengan adanya Terminal ini diharapkan salahsatu fokus pembangunannya di Kota Tangsel dapat terealisasikan.
“Kemarin sempat ramai dan menjadi viral mengenai polusi udara Kota Tangsel tertinggi dibandingkan dengan Kota lainnya. Semuanya pada protes, tapi apapun ceritanya itu menjadi masukkan bagi Pemkot Tangsel untuk lebih meningkatkan lagi pelayanannya kepada masyarakat”. Terangnya
