Saat ditemui Halim Iskandar mengatakan bahwa dengan kondisi iklim cuaca yang dinilainya masih ektrim, Ia menyarankan kepada masyarakat untuk mengungsi sementara ke posko-posko pengungsian terlebih dahulu. Untuk itu, beliau meminta agar posko-posko pengungsian dikelola dengan baik.
“Tentunya kami sangat prihatin dengan kondisi yang menimpa warga yang tertimpa bencana dan tentukan harus dilakukan langkah-langkah konkrit”. Ungkap Halim Iskandar.
Halim iskandar juga mengatakan akan berupaya menyambungkan akses ke desa-desa yang terputus akibat bencana salah satunya melalui penyediaan perahu karet sebagai alat penghubung antar desa dikarenakan banyaknya jembatan penghubung antar desa rusak dan terputus.
“Masih banyak penduduk yang tinggal di desa-desa yang aksesnya terputus, dan membutuhkan suplai bahan pangan, pakaian dan lain-lain karena disana juga terdampak”. Ujar Menteri Desa
Sementara itu Wakil Bupati Lebak mengucapkan terima kasih kepada pemerintah pusat yang senantiasa memperhatikan kondisi wilayah dan masyarakat yang terkena dampak bencana banjir bandang di Kabupaten Lebak.
